she was a calico who walked right into our apartment just as we were serving Thanksgiving dinner one year. Then we went to house-sit for a few days -- and guess who wound herself around my legs when we got back???

We never did find out where she came from (hence the name Anastasia) but she stayed with us until she used up her nine lives a few years later. Purrrrrrrrrrr........
