1. I usually just do a couple of face stretches
and then scoop out the meat with a spoon.

Or maple syrup instead of the sugar/nutmeg.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

4. cut in half
spray insides with a bit of cooking spray, then a light dusting of cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees until a knife goes in easily.

Scoop out and serve.

5. cut it in half, scoop out the seeds

put in a small shallow baking pan with about 1/4 water with large side down. Bake for 30 minutes at 350-375. Then, turn squash over, pour off water, add in toppings of your choice...

For me it is: lots of butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, little salt, and other spices (ginger, allspice) Bake again for about 15 minutes. Devour.

7. It's great with brown sugar and butter
Bake it until tender. If you want healthy, just bake it and occassionally moisten with water. Add a few spices. I like curry powder on it. Then scoop it out.

8. I had some in NYC some years ago...
At a restaurant called, I think, Astor Place. It was fantastic--apparently cooked with maple syrup. I've tried to duplicate it with no success.

put a pat of butter, a tablespoon of heavy cream, and a dash of maple syrup in the cavity, cover with saran wrap, and microwave it for five minutes and then check for softness in the meat of it. If it is still not cooked, give it a few more minutes.
