My kids and my husband and I all got it on a trip to Disney World about 17 years ago, we were miserable. All of us had been vaccinated but we got it anyway. I remember my husband laying under a tree at Sea World while I managed to haul the kids into see the walrus. We did not know we had it until we got back but we probably should have known since we sounded like the walrus, at least that is what my oldest son said, "Hey Mommy, that walrus sounds like Daddy!" Take care, it is not fun.

I know a person who coughs like they are dying, constantly...it doesn't have any phlegm or anything, but it's bad enough. Just a dry cough that doesn't stop.

I had not heard of very many people getting Whooping Cough until about 3 months ago, there is a ton of it going around the Minneapolis area right now. I have not had it myself, but I have heard it is not fun.

I am getting over pneumonia right now (second time I have had it in 6 months...but that is another story!) and that is not fun either.
