"One floor below me, you don't even know me, I love you."

Oh, my darling...
KNOCK THREE TIMES!
On the ceiling on the ceiling if you want me.
Twice on the pipe if the answer is no.
Oh! my sweetness
(Knock, knock, knock!) Means you'll meet me in the hallway
Mmm, twice on the pipe (clink, clink) means you ain't gonna show.

Dare I say it again? Ahh, the '70s! :eyes:

1. Once upon a time
My husband and I managed some apartments. It just so happened that there was one person who lived above another person and they both Hallucinated. So each one would imagine various things some of which were true - one would bang on the ceiling the other would bang on the floor. And they created stories about what it meant and expected us to solve the situation. You can imagine.

Maybe somebody should write a song.

In my post just above yours, I *almost* started in on that song...which will now be stuck in my head for the evening.

4. "Knock Three Times" and "Candida" were two great pop songs.
Too bad (Tony Orlando and) Dawn jumped the shark immediately thereafter.

8. Dude you are on like the totally 70's kick these days. And I'm loving it!

From your other post we are just about the same age and had happy childhoods during the 70's.

I had forgotten until googling this pic about the "Sweet Gypsy Rose" song! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA

I remember my sister buying the LPs of "Aja", various Parliament/Funkadelic albums, Heatwave's "Too Hot to Handle", Boz Scaggs' "Silk Degrees".

Good Times! :hi:
