im getting popup adds... but...

spybot and adaware say my system is clear, i only get the popups with internet explorer, and there is this weird toolbar that has popped up and isnt part of internet explorer, as far as i know anyway. when i try to disable it, there is a text box that says 'if you want to remove the toolbar permanatley, delete the sponsor software package in add/remove programs. "

thing is, the program isnt labled anything like 'sponsor software package' and i dont know what to delete, anyone run into this before and can tell me what to delete?

7. What OS do you have

If Windows XP, have you gotten SP2? There is some blocking in SP2, but really it would be better to switch browsers. Mozilla is more secure than IE.

9. xp pro... i downloaded SP2... and...

it hosed my system. i mean totally fucked it up... it was unuseable... so i did a system rollback and am using it as is.

boot up from your windows disk, and find partitions and delete them all, that re-install windows
