1. I had not seen it before. I understand the issue. But I

think it is just another case of You scratch my back, I will scratch yours. It should be of concern to us. We need the cheaper prices of drugs, but not at the price of getting mad cow disease. With this administration we surely will be shafted in one way or another. They could have engaged in making sure the drug companies could give Medicare recipients lower prices--for that matter they could have asked them to lower prices for everyone. But we know what they are all about, and it is certainly not about fairness to our country's citizens.

I don't think young cows under 3 years old have ever been shown to carry or transmit mad cow disease, so I have no argument with the importation of young cows from Canada.

And I don't understand what the mad cow issue has to do with re-importation of low-cost drugs from Canada.

I'm not always the swiftest turtle in the race so maybe put your argument in words of one syllable?

9. If we lift the ban on Canadian Cattle, Canada bans drug sales to the US.

That is what one issue has to do with the other. And mad cows are turning up in Canada at this time. There is no reason why cattle under three years of age couldn't get mad cow disease. There is no way they can honestly justify lifting the ban on Canadian cattle at this time.
