I'd Like To Share a Special Anniversary With My Fellow DUers!

I don't knoe if I've mentioned this in discussions, but I am a recovering alcoholic.

Today is the 15th anniversary of sobriety.

What makes this special is that my wife was a smoker when we met in early July of 1997. I always told the women I dated that I was in recovery right up front for a number of reasons, so she knew when we first met. We became engaged in late September of 1997. She quit smoking on January 14, 1998.

So, today my wife has been smoke free for 7 years and I haven't had a drink for 15!

I share this primarily because Plaid Adder said when she wrote about Keph, we are a family of a sort. This is nothing we celebrate but we do acknowledge it. We'd like to share a good thing with our internet family!
