Patriots fans - A wet field will not stop a passing team.
It hurts a pass defense because they don't know where the receivers are going.

It will hurt a good running team.

So hose it down, it won't help you.

1. That's funny.
I thought you had to grip a ball to throw it.

I'm guessing you didn't play...

2. Not really a problem.
A good QB has no problem.

Ask Terry Bradshaw.

3. I would, but I doubt he remembers.
That's a man who's taken 10 too many shots to the head.

5. Ho HO!
Not just wet, my friend--muddy and slick as well. Colts receivers are used to playing in their snug air-conditioned and heated dome, not on a mud-saturated field. Peyton will have trouble dropping back to pass, and the receivers will have trouble keeping their feet on their routes.

10. The Houston Oilers played in a dome.
And beat my Steelers in the 90's in the snow with five wide outs.

17. The Pats Aren't Used To It, Either
Because normally they take meticulous care of the field. So, even though it's grass, they aren't used to sloppy, soft, wet conditions, either.

Doing this is a large disadvantage to all the players. A dry track is better for everyone, and a sloppy way a problem for all of them. As a matter of fact, the least affected guy on a sloppy track will probably be Bettis. Dillon and Deuce are both cutback runners, and a soft track is bad for them.

So, the sloppy field helps the team with the heads up runner and the giant offensive line. (Steelers' center is 305, isn't he?)

I think this is not only a bad idea, but i do think it an illegitimate method.

6. No, but a patriot team will stop a manning. Its proven fact.
0 for 6, Mr. manning is, against the patriots. I would suggest that the evidence indicates that Manning is a congenital choker who cannot win the big win, just as he was in College when he always had the national championship in his sights, yet always, always lost the big game against Florida, going 0 and 4 against them, as well.

14. 0 and 6 for the last 6, then.
Still way beyond random variation, don't you think? It is sad that the patriots, unlike the Gators, don't have a perfect record against the chokemeister general.

12. We brought in winners like Schilling.
Unfortunately, they're lead by losers like Manning and Dungy...

15. Money
Easy to win when there is no parity amoungst teams.

The Red Sox spent more on two pitchers than the Pirates did on their entire team.

Thats how they won. They copied what the Yankees had been doing.

Look forward to the next 10 years in Baseball. I predict 6 Yankees wins, 3 Red Sox wins, and 1 national league team suprise beating either the Yankees or the Red Sox, but forced to sell off most of their players the following year.
