I'm weirded out by marrow in my soup. What should I do? |
|
I've been slow cooking this beef/veggie soup/stew thing for friggin' ever now, and I went to fish the bone out, and the marrow feel outta the bone and into the pot and is now lost. I looked for it, 'cuz as noted above, I'm weirded out by marrow in my soup, but all the chunks of meat look exactly alike. I'm at a loss. It will be a cromulent pot of soup/stew. But it has a hunk of cooked marrow floating around in it. Which weirds me out. 'Cuz it's marrow. Ew.

1. Don't Worry, I Can Almost Guarantee That The Marrow Has Liquefied |
|

Marrow is really delicious. My French Grandmother made a great soup using only marrow bones and small tiny cuts of browned beef. The marrow was then spread on fresh rye bread (after cooking of course) with salt and pepper. Yum, it was GOOD.

Have you ever tried it? I love roasted Marrow Bones too. Love to scrape out the creamy goodness and put it on toast. Yum!

10. What are you sayin', fric? I should just suck it up and take it |
|
like a man? ;-) The soup/stew thing will be cromulent, even if the marrow thing is kinda scavery. Stangle is doin' just fine. My working theory is that he went and got himself bit so he could have some hardware in his face just like his old dad does. That's my theory, anyway.
And do tell on the dream, unless it's something that'd get ya banned. ;-)

The dream wasnt nasty and its vague now, but I know were :smoke: ... it was like a meet up or something along those lines. It was nice to see ya! I think I mustve just been missing you and the lounge in general!

5. The marrow's the best part. |
|
It will just dissolve & make the soup richer.

13. Mad Cow lurks in the nerves, marrow. |
|
Tends not to be present in the red muscles, even in infected cows. Still I say eat it up yum. As you say, it will be perfectly cromulent.
