Trivial pursuit advice needed! |
|
Is it considered cheating if you know the answers to most of the questions ONLY because you've memorized the cards after playing the game too often? You know... as opposed to actually KNOWING the bit of trivia in the first place.

1. Time for a new set of cards! |
|
Not cheating, because you know the answer, no matter how you learned it.

7. Not necessarily. You've learned the information and can |
|
recall it when necessary. I wouldn't consider that cheating, but I would consider it's time to play a different version if the challenge is gone.
That reminds me of a time I was playing Trivial Pursuit with a someone I was dating, and the question happened to relate to something I'd read recently. I got the answer right, and then went on to tell him I'd read about that subject in a magazine a month or so prior. He accused me of cheating! He actually said, "You didn't really KNOW that then! You just READ it!"
Um, hello? Isn't reading a good source of learning information you will later be able to claim you know?
