Which David Brock book to get?
going to the bookstore tommorrow- I am going to get a David Brock book, but don't know if I should get "Blinded by the Right" or "The Republican Noise Machine"

I am leaning towards the second one.

1. I've only read the first one
The second is more up to date.

If you want a really good read, I just finished "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins. Eye opening.

2. I've only read "blinded..."
And it was fantastic. Shows from the inside how the right skewered Clinton and built the noise machine. I'm sure the second is great too and i plan on reading it, but somehow I feel we already know about the noise machine intuitively, and the origins and players in it's development are in "Blinded."

3. look at this asshole
reading reviews on amazon- I always like to read the 1 star reviews... anyway, look at this dumbass:

Love or hate it. It's that simple, May 21, 2004
Reviewer: A reader
In fact it's very simple. If you live in one of the liberal ghetto's like NYC LA or DC then you will probably love this book. However if you live in fly over country like the rest of us then you will be insulted beyond belief. This book is a good example of why it's so important to stay away from drugs and alcohol.

4. Depends
are you interested in David Brock or are you more interested in the history of the SCLM?

Blinded is more of a confessional. Noise Machine is something I use as a bible about the history of the So-Called Liberal Media.

Why don't you give them both a glance while you're at the store and decide then?

6. Get "Blinded"
It's interesting because it's a confession, and explains how he ended up a RW "hitman," and how he came to see the light.

That's not to say "Noise Machine" isn't also good, but "Blinded" is unique because of the story it tells.
