32. Yeah...I think I understand
my lunch box cost me $90 and that was about seven years ago when E-bay wasn't as nearly as ferocious as it is today...

I had to buy the thermos in a separate auction too...

a similar product featuring Ed McCaffrey of the Broncos. He also had "Mile High Mustard." My wife convinced me to get rid of the box with the last move, though.

7. Jeez--I dunno. The mix is probly odder than any single thing.
A perfect-running 1954 Case farm tractor that I use in the field, 2 table saws, 2 band saws & a planer, six different pieces of EEG biofeedback equipment (a Brainmaster, 2 Lexicors, 3 Discovery Engineering models), probly 2000 books, mostly in English, German & Danish, 2 revolvers, a double barrel 20 ga. shotgun & a 12 ga. pump, a .30-06 deer rifle, 3 functioning laptop computers of various vintages, 3 desktops ditto, all with assortet printers, scanners, etc., a lot of fishing equipment, a canoe & small aluminum boat, a wood stove in my woodworking shop, the usual chainsaws, etc., a Wechsler adult intelligence test (latest ed.)...I dunno--is that a weird collection?

17. An old letter from Hans Goebbels
Apparently written to sister Maria Goebbels, in which he complains about their mother visiting and pouring her heart out, his brother Konrad's business misadventures, lots of lines about someone selling pants to the Berlin S.A. even though they're not from Berlin. Then finally at the end, oh yeah, other brother Joseph's probably going to be ragged once the election is over but Magda sent us a nice picture and we'll get it in a frame one of these days. Letter is from '32.

Serial killers often write in block letters with more pressure than that.

26. Weird, cheap, old souvenir ashtray
Found this at an antique store several years ago and couldn't resist; it's a small black metal ashtray with a map of the state of Maine on it. Standing next to it is a ten inch tall comically scary-looking black bear, made out of some sort of hard material but covered in felt. Probably the oddest thing I own, although the album Pat Boone Reads from the Holy Bible may have to come in at a close second...

27. I would have done just about ANYTHING for a
Bugaloos lunchbox back when I was in 5th or 6th grade.

Now I may PAY just about anything for one, because I never got that which I needed in my youth. But then my mother was convinced I was possessed by demons (did you know butterflies are considered evil figures?)... but that's the stuff of many archived threads....

40. An Epilady. It should've been an Inquisition torture instrument.
I've had it since the late 80's, used it once and, for some reason, have failed to get rid of it.

Other oddities: A fossilized head of a turtle, dug out of an eroded stream bank.

Also, a fossilized sea anemone as big as a Red-Dot softball, which I dug out from a construction area.
