Post what's great about your life.
I have it made. No complaints. Except maybe I can't understand what the dog is saying, but that's a minor thing.

1. I've been very blessed/lucky, whatever.
Hard times, yes, great times, yes, but all in all I have a great life and love it.

P.S. Ditto on the dog thing. ;-)

A beautiful home, a steel-blue PT Cruiser, adorable grandsons, a home library full of great books, and an inspiring and hope-filled relationship with Jesus Christ.

6. I have a boyfriend that I'm totally in love with
I was unhappily married for 7 years. My ex was a total turd, left me at home alone all the time while he went out on the town on an every other day basis. I never understood why and when I did I divorced him.
But now I have a wonderful person in my life, it's refreshing and honestly I had forgotten how it felt to have someone make me feel special. It feels good! I will never settle for less again. Never!

8. Just A Snapshot Here....
because there's a lot that's wonderful. But I just got a new puppy! The first dog with a pedigree I've ever owned and she's a Chocolate Labrador Retriever! We named her "Shawnee" because we wanted an Indian name. We had to put our German Shepherd to sleep about 7 years ago and just wouldn't bite the bullet again.

SPCA would have been fine but my daughter and her husband gave her to us for Christmas, and because she originally came from North Dakota and then onto another place to have a microchip implant, then to the Pet Store in Florida, she was one sick puppy. Kennel cough and Giardia. Spent a week at the Vet being nebulized and 2 weeks on anti-biotics for both.

She's doing great now and she's already house-broken! Only took 10 days! Gonna be a BIG DOG!

And I have two excellent cats and a new G5 iMac and a car that gets 35 mpg and an interesting job and am unencumbered by any dysfunctional relationships. It could be worse.

12. My spouse and animals love me...
I have a decent (not fancy but comfy) place to live and a good business that I'm slowly but surely building up. What more do I need?

Everyone has problems. Thanks for reminding me of the good things. :)

16. My family is great.
I have a wonderful husband, and three great adult children.

I live in a blue state. My senators, Obama and Durbin, are the best.

I have good friends. No one in my family is ill, or homeless on this cold night.

I have nice pets, too.

My brain still functions well enough that I am doing what I can about the lies, and laughing at them when I cannot.

18. My son is the coolest person that ever was
LeftyDad is a great guy, I have a job I like and can expect to keep awhile, I'm healthy and I have insurance in case that changes, my car works, and a friend can fix it for me when that changes, my family is interesting and funny and smart, LeftyDad's family is in the midwest, Barbara Boxer is my senator, Arnie's out of town most of the time, I'll get my tax money in a month or twoand LeftyDad promises I can leave some of it at Ikea, gravity hasn't got to my bod yet, I can get chinese food delivered cheap and movies come in the mail. What more can I ask for?

19. I can keep my own hours.
And strange hours they are, at that. :) I've managed to make a living in the last few years in a way that doesn't force me to go out and battle the world. In that sense, I know I'm totally and amazingly lucky.

Have got a beautiful family of pets, too.

I wouldn't trade my problems for someone else's success for anything in the world - because then I'd lose the things that are great about my life, too.

22. I have a wonderful 11-year-old daughter,
the light of my life and all the more precious to me because she (my one and only child) arrived just in time for my 20th wedding anniversary. Also, I have both of my 82-year-old parents a couple of blocks away. They are in good shape and just celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

I'm one of those people who tends to think of the glass as half empty, but when it comes to family, I feel very blessed.

1. For the first time in my adult life, I'm in good financial shape, thanks to a job I got last August that pays a living wage.

2. Last summer, I got into a roommate situation. I'm now living in a condo out in the country with a roommate who rarely bothers me, and his dog and two cats. This is the first time I've ever lived with pets; I like it a lot!

3. Despite weight problems, I'm otherwise in very good health.

4. My college radio show. Check out my website, www.soulexpressradio.com , for more info.

5. All the great people I've befriended at DU.

6. Air America Radio! :yourock:

On the down side, I still haven't found a significant other, but I hold out hope that it'll happen someday.

Thanks for asking! :hi:
