I don't get the hype surrounding the Mac Mini....?

Let me start off by saying I am a happy PC user. I used to use Macs for video/photo editing. Short of using Final Cut Pro, I really can't stand using a Mac. But that is not what my misunderstanding stems from. What I don't understand is that I hear from 'Mac' people telling me that the Mini will blow out any comparable PC and that you can't build anything nearly as good at that 500 dollar price point. I am glad to see Apple trying new things and expanding design and such, but it doesn't get me excited in the least. I don't know... what do you all thing about it?

3. I'm getting one......It's either that or a G4 800 MHZ Powerbook......

I like the new Mac Mini and have everything to put together another system.....maybe replace my Imac or just network them all together.....my Imac, Emac, G4 Tower and MiniMac.

I like the idea of getting a powerbook instead, I can truly take it anywhere like any other laptop. I do video editing, web editing, photoshopping, podcasting and all other kinds of multimedia.

I use PC's tho to play games online tho......I have a great homebuilt rig that I use for gaming.
