I'm on my first diet since I quit smoking...
Will the hunger NEVER END? I quit smoking two years ago, gained 40 lbs. and was told by my doctor to diet or die. I've lost 30 lbs. since September on a low-calorie, low-fat diet, but now the weight loss is S_L_O_W and I'm so hungry I could eat my cat. I'm trying to come up with a good, natural, non-pill-type appetite suppresant, but I can't think of anything besides nicotine! Help! Can anybody help me out here? I'd really appreciate it!

1. Water
We've all heard it over and over again, drink lots of water! It really does work as far as suppressing your appetite, plus it's good for you. I drink water all day long. Try it!

2. Are you exercising in addition to dieting?
If not, start exercising and you will see the lbs. disappear. If you are exercising then consider changing your exercise routine. You may have hit a plateau.

The plateau is to be expected. You may want to kick-it up again by doing a carb-free couple of days. After that keep your select intake to about 35-50 and if you have a craving, nibble on some macadamia nuts; about an ounce. Drink lots of water of course.....exercise and look at your Omega 3 Fat intake....are you using good fats? Olive and flax seed oil? How is your fiber intake? Whole grains are essential into mobilizing fat removal. Oatmeal, like McCain's Steel-cut Oats, sprinkle ground flaxseed (do this in a coffee grinder) over salads which give a nice nutty taste.

Supplements also help.....Tonalin-CLA I believe is great for fat mobilization as is chromium as sold in Citrimax Plus or GTF Chromium.. I could look up the others if you wish.

4. Best appetite suppressant I know of?
Amphetamine. I don't recommend it though... :)
