what a great toilet!!
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 11:49 AM by mopinko
toto toilets are amazing. it seems like they use about a tablespoon of water. but they can move 5 lbs of you know what with their 1 1/2 gallon flushes. a really beautiful piece of engineering.

i put one in my new bathroom, and i am sorely temped to go out and buy 2 more to replace my existing toilets.

1. Huh. cool..
Interesting. I don't know much about toilets. What's the difference between this toto thing and a regular toilet?

3. perfect engineering
the shape of the bowl, and especially the trapway, are just perfectly designed to increase the force of the runnning water. the bottom of the bowl is designed to have a bernoulli effect, and the trapway has nice wide turns, and a little of the same effect.
and they are not that expensive. they makes some really expensive ones, but i bought one of their cheapest models. i'm sure it will pay off in reduced water bills quickly.

5. Damn
You'd get along with my bf then. He's always takes time in explaining all the technicalities to me and I'm always like.. Ok. Sounds good to me! hehe.. Right now, the toilets in my new house seem to have a smaller water hole thingy than most toilets. I don't know shit about toilets but he mentioned the different options and toilets we can install, blah blah blah.. And I'm like, cool. Let's do it! I'll have to mention this toto toilet to him in case he doesn't already know about it. Thanks for the info. :-)

4. They work well
I looked into toilets a few years ago, when I remodeled back-to-back bathrooms. The summer from hell with both torn out due to immense dry rot.

Toto is clearly the best in the market. They do not clog. I've had mine for about 3 years and am very happy with them.

The difference appears to be the way surfaces and angles are engineered.

6. just keepin up with the yuppies
and i hope it will add to my health. i have some joint troubles that should benefit from a whirlpool, even if only for the stress reduction of a great bath. i love hot baths. my mom used to tease me about being like sylvia. i really feel like her now.

9. Do they sound like 747's at full throttle?
Cause that is what I really hate about new toilets.
