Gore vs. Kerry
Who do you think is a better statesman

For me, it's Al Gore. He is a great man and I hope he comes back in 2008.

3. Gore gave some great speeches over the last year!
Unfortunately right now propagandist tactics dominate the media. *sigh*

4. Apparently, neither work.
Yes, both elections were very close (I do think the Supreme Court decided the 2000 election).

Shouldn't we be looking for a candidate that appeals to more than 50% of the population? Neither of these men seem to have been able to do that...and I think they're both unelectable now.

Just my opinion, but I think we should be looking for a much more likeable candidate that doesn't compromise Democratic principles.

7. Nobody Stands a Chance Against the Media and the Machinez
If we can't fix those problems, it doesn't matter who we run.

8. Boooolsheeeet.
What we need is a person who speaks to the "everyman" and deals with issues in an easy-to-understand manner.

I honestly think that people will get behind somebody they believe in. The fact is that we haven't been able to field somebody like this in at least 5 years.

13. The Media Decreed that Dems Should Not Be Seen or Heard
I honestly think that people will get behind somebody they believe in.

But how will people come to believe in someone if they don't see or
hear them?

14. Pick whomever speaks to you. THEN get him heard.
It's really not that difficult. The media is a whore to "news". Just give them "news".

16. Not Any More. They Ignore Every Story That Makes * Look Bad

The media is a whore to "news". Just give them "news".

That was back in the good old days when we had a free press.

Look at all the stories that we only find out about here or in the foreign press.
There should have been several Watergate-sized scandals every year
since Boosh** stole the pResidency, but the US "news" media buried
every one of them.

They are whores, all right, but only for the Republicans.

6. It is my studied opinion that both of these great statesmen who
have spent their adult lives serving this country would have been possibly great presidents. They both care for all people; they both care intensely about our environment and the world's environment; they are men of great intelligence, faith and conscience. George Bush has literally robbed us of the opportunity to have such men as our leaders and as such has earned my unending ire. I will work in any way I can to bring his downfall. He is tragic, but no hero.
