1. Gloat?
You won, which is good for you. But your golden boy looked like a deer in the headlights. You barely made it past a B-level squad in your own stadium after a lot of rest.

Gloat today, worry tomorrow.

4. You need to worry tomorrow. You gotta beat Manning.
And Big Ben drove them for the winning FG.

20. Just say, "The Colts have Manning.
But we have Bellichek."

That's all you need to say. ;)

26. Forest Park Ga native Hines Ward is "the real Steeler golden boy"
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 10:01 PM by billbuckhead
I hope this is the year America finds out a what Georgia and Pittsburgh already know, Hines Ward is the class of the NFL. It's a guy like this that gets you to 15-1 with a rookie quarterback.

2. Thank you
They avenged the Chargers for that loss last week. I wonder if the Jets are the first team in playoff history to make it to OT 2 playoff games in a row?

No matter, I thank the Steelers for avenging my team. :D

5. If Roethisname plays THAT shitty next week, they are FINISHED.
That guy needs to get his shit together.

They should NOT have won that game, my friend. They got lucky on TWO missed field goals.

LUCKY, and barely escaped.

14. It was all Bettis.
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 08:17 PM by BullGooseLoony
Here are Roethisname's stats:

Comp Att Yds Pct Y/A Sack YdsL TD Int
 B. Roethlisberger 17 30 177 56.7 5.9 1 8 1 2

Not good. I saw him at 3 for 11 early in the game. Not gonna cut it.

In fact, to say "It was all Bettis" is WAY too generous.

You know what it was? It was Doug Brien. Steelers lost that game if not for him.

16. hmmm 3/11 and he turned that to above 50% percent in passing
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 08:18 PM by JohnKleeb
I admit he had a cruddy first half but he turned things around. Wasn't just Bettis, Staley played a big role in getting them in position for that game winner. Yeah I'll admit Brien missing had a large role but Heinz field is an extremely hard field to get long field goals at, I believe Enberg or Dierdoff said something like theres only been 5 attempts from 50+ yards.

18. A LARGE role?
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 08:20 PM by BullGooseLoony
I'm sorry, but if Brien had made EITHER of those field goals, the Jets would have won on the SPOT.

They were the CRUX of it.

30. It was the incredible steeler defence that kept them from getting ...
close enough to kick FG's reliably. Of course the interception tossing was not helpful
