Siamese fighting fish
Has anyone seen these fish go at it? They really do fight to the finish.

1. stick one in a tank with a mirror
the fish will attack its own reflection. A friend of mine used to keep them.

6. I lost my red one
just today :-( I knew it was coming the past few days, he was an old dude. Had him for about two and a half, three years. He had a nice comfy life in a nice sized tank with his goldfish buddies and not cramped in one of those tiny Betta bowls. I don't like seeing them live their lives in a space that amounts to a cup or two of water. Fishies like room to swim :D
I still have another and he's a purplish blue color. Both of them I saved from other people. They get em cuz they're ooh so cool and purdy and easy to take of. Then the "ooh" wears off and I'd notice, (ya know like when visiting friends over time and the fish usually belonged to one of their kids), eventually you can't see the fish in the vase or bowl through the algae, the scummy water and it stinks really bad. That's when I ever so unselfishly volunteer to take their smelly, burdensome fish off their hands ;-) It's a win win situation all around:evilgrin:
