2. No, but some of his furry mates around here probably do.
He don't take no shit from any of 'em.

(I like your .gif images. They kill my dialup connection, but I like them.)

12. LOL
I never realized it but in that photo he does look like a black cat, doesn't he? He's a sealpoint Siamese/mutt -- 16 pounds of tough kitty lovin'.

7. A different "Petey, the claw(s), and his little admirer"
The big dog is Petey (my dog), the little dog is Truman, and the claw(s) is obvious. The two dogs were thrown together when my friend in Boston and I (in Denver) rented a house in Maine. Truman isn't idolizing Pete in this picture, but believe me, Truman was Petey's best little buddy all week long.

8. Doncha LOVE it when doggies become buddies?
Our middle dog joe has a bestest pal jack who he does sleep overs with, and vice versa.

13. The dogs were supremely suspicious.
Edited on Sun Jan-16-05 12:59 PM by intheflow
Seconds after this picture was taken, Truman just started howling at the sea creatures. LOL Actually, it's hard to tell, but the lobsters' claws were still banded, so all was safe.

I'm glad you responded, Bertha, because I never did comment on your original pcture. Also very cool! My cats have never touched the many climbing/scratching poles we've gotten them over the years. They prefer to sink thier claws into the couch, the door jam, my stockings, and, yes, Petey the dog.

14. I know some remedies for clawing cats . . .
. . . not declawing, of course. Double-sided sticky tape and a handy squirt bottle are two of them. Another is catnip spray applied to the scratching/climing things. I don't know what you'd apply to your Petey to keep the cats' claws out of him . . . ;)

15. the cats steered clear of Pete when
he was sprayed by a skunk. Of course, we all steered clear of him for 24-hours, until he was de-stunk enough to wash!

I've tried the squirt bottle. It just gets my cat Harley more pissed off and vindictive than she usually is. Will have to try the sticky tape, that sounds like a great idea.
