Philly DUers: Come support my band Sunday (Jan. 16) night!

My band, The New Kings of Rhythm, is playing as part of the Emergenza Festival this Sunday, January 16. The only way we get to move on to the semi-finals is by the audience vote at the end of the night. The more people we can get there, the better.

We're the last of 8 bands, so we go on at 11:30. However, there will be 7 other fine bands performing before us, so you'll certainly get your money's worth. (I think it's $10 at the door.) Door is at 7:30, and the show starts at 8.

The whole thing goes down at The Five Spot, which is at 5 South Bank Street in Philadelphia.

If you really want to know, we're a 10-piece funk/reggae/R&B ensemble. We'll be doing about 95% original material, including some tunes from our soon to be released new album.
