who is interested in a personal history group?
where we can talk about geneology, and where our ancestors came from and what they did. we can also do "where were they in .....?" as many times as we want.

2. There is one concern I have.
It's ok if one decides to reveal personal information about oneself on the internet. But if people go about posting about their relatives and ancestors I think it brings up serious ethical questions.

3. Psssttt....
We are just trying to get a way to get these "Where were you in so and so year" threads out of the Lounge. They are worse than copycat threads.

4. i'm serious
I like them and there are definitely people who like them as much or more and this would put all those threads in one place. they would stay up longer too.

with the giving out of info of our ancestors, it would be up to the person how specific they want to get regarding their activities.

5. I;m serious too
I think it would be interesting to see what everyone was doing. Kind of like DU's own People's History of the United States. I also don't want them to hog the Lounge.

6. I don't know about our actual "ancestors"...but I definitely feel
many of us have "known" each other before in Resistance Movements in history. But that can't actually/logically be traced in geneologies.
