SNL...kinda funny last night
I especially liked the skit with the dollar, euro, pound, and peso. I appreciated it because I'm sure it got a lot of people thinking about the situation with the dollar. It really hasn't been getting a lot of press in my opinion. Also, the guy playing Zell Miller was hilarious.

1. It WAS funny
The dollar euro sketch was ok

Even one of the fake audience members, at the beggining, was funny.

The Zell Miller bit is a riot - how does he get so red - it must be bad for his health.

The Huxtables impersonation - they are both terrific.

And the art gallery, and I don't know quite why, but it was very funny, in that silly way, like the long ago killer bees skits were - funny/silly/weird. (I like the Prince show bits that they do - some similarities to last night's skit).

There were no bad skits. Really unusual. They have a terrific cast right now.

3. I wondered if they paid attention to the critical NYT article 2 weeks ago
-- As reprinted in the following:

http://www.contracostatimes.com/mld/cctimes/10553910.htm

The article criticized the show's shift away from political satire to celebrity humor. However, tonight actually had 3 (!) (more?) skits w/ political themes. The Bushs/Clinton press conference, Hardball parody (heelarious!) and the dollar bill skit. (Oh, a fourth - the MLK Day/paramedics)

Yep, better than average this week! Keep it up, SNL!

4. Interesting article.
I havent watch SNL in a while so I cant really comment as to the change. But howdy from a fellow nurse! I've been an RN for 10 years and still dont know what I wanna do. I'm going traveling this spring to Baltimore and maybe then to Charleston. I've always wanted to visit Washington state though.
