Anyone heard from Doug Brien today?..... Is he alive and well? |
|
Or is he sleeping with the fishes? Has he changed his name yet? I wonder how many times his house and cars have been egged. Inquiring minds want to know.

2. He must be feeling about as low as one could get in the sense |

that the team was outed because of his failed kicks. On the other hand, he's a pro and understands that in athletics, bad days happen. His came on the wrong day.

4. Edwards should take as much heat |
|
Brien had just missed from a similar spot, but Edwards should have tried to get it closer. A 40+ yarder is definitely not a gimme at Heinz field, especially at the end of the game in the cold. They had the time and could have easily run for a few more yards to set it up closer and from the middle. That knee at the end was a good call, but implemented horribly, as it left them on the left hash instead of in the middle (not sure if this was Pennington's fault or Edwards). Brien isn't without blame, but Edwards did an awful coaching job at the end.
