I'm still feeling less than 100%, so I won't say on long, but I just wanted to tell all of you how much your prayers and kind words meant to me. The surgery was a complete success and Tony's minding me like a mother hen, so it's my job now to get well.

I am so glad you are home. I have been away so much that I am afraid I annoyed Tony with a couple of catch up PM's knowing he was far too busy to deal with my worry on top of his and everyone elses. It is so good to know you are home. I know you are being cared for well, probably spoiled rotten! Take your pain meds before you really hurt and you will recover and heal much quicker than if you try to be stoic, there is my one piece of advice as an old ICU nurse. Hugs and kisses.

52. His neurosurgeon said exactly the same thing.

She said that in this day and age, there is no excuse fr not managing pain properly, and that pain actually slows a recovery. He has strict orders to take his pain meds as ordered, and he has morphine tablets for 'breakthrough pain' management.
