Is anyone else strangely fascinated by the
Golden Globe coverage on E?

Its nothing special, just silly pre-show stuff, and yet I'm slightly obsessed with it.

Anyone else sharing my plight?

I was rooting for your Seahawks
That's probably why they lost. I seem to have a magic touch when rooting for teams. Whoever I root for loses.

4. I'd rather watch paint dry than football.
Besides all the rightwing commentary by the football TV announcers makes me want to puke.

15. right wing commentary?
what game are you watching? All they've talked about besides the game is how the Eagles have built a pretty great team.

19. I've been watching football for a long time
And the only right wing commentary I've ever heard of was the Al Michaels comment last year and when Lush Rimjob was commenting on ESPN. Lush is now gone. Nearly all of the games are called in a professional manner.

3. I can't watch too much of it because I get really, really jealous.
And irrationally upset that my life didn't turn out like theirs.

I'm only half kidding, LOL.

I'll tune in about a half hour or so before the actual awards, and watch the awards...which is also slightly tough for me.

If I see a no talent bimbo like Ashlee Simpson there, I may have to turn the channel before throw my television out the window. (Luckily she's a "musician" so I'll prolly be fine.)

5. Nope.
I don't really watch TV at all. I did watch Napoleon Dynamite for the seventh time last night.

And I think I'll watch a movie now.

But Golden Globes? I'm only vaguely aware of what that is.

7. I would probably have it on if Star Jones weren't on there
I hate Star Jones. I hated Joan Rivers too, but I would welcome her back with open arms now.

8. I know me too, and really Melissa wasn't that bad.....
But Star's not there now, which is probably why I'm watching, they're just like counting down the "Top Golden Globe Moments" and talking about what people might be wearing, they have silly little quizzes haha, its so dumb. I can't switch though! Its like the perfect thing for background noise. :)

18. If you have the TV Guide channel, you can have Joan and Melissa back.
That's where they went with all their red carpet festivities.

14. OMG I just looked at your profile.
You are a liberal and you live in BEDFORD??? God, I'm so sorry.

Wait, I was thinking of Burleson. But Bedford isn't much better, is it?

Just wanted to send you my sympathy.

I am in another part of the metroplex. And I have difficulty understanding popular culture, too.

I lived in Grapevine for awhile and THAT is hard core Republican.

Shudder. I was in Plano recently to see some friends, we met at a restaurant. I could tell I was in neocon land (I don't live in that part of the metroplex).

:scared:

10. I may watch some of the awards later though I never watched it (GG)
before. I like looking at some of the dresses the women wear. Why I don't know....

16. yeah but I am sitting here wondering why I care enough to watch what
they wear. I feel shallow about it, watching the fashion show.

Yes, some things are pretty and some aren't and it shows the personal taste of the people wearing the clothes, versus how someone else dresses them for the movies. For example,Julia Roberts dresses well for these shows but that shouldn't matter...only her acting should matter. Oh well, I am trying to overthink it....

have been trying to lose this game against Philadelphia.
