Post pics of well known people and I shall critique their appearance
Edited on Sun Jan-16-05 06:59 PM by Bouncy Ball
I think I do it quite well. Fair, honest.

Why?

Just BECAUSE I don't care so much about fashion or other superficial things. Ironically, it gives me a distance necessary to really SEE what is unappealling about a person's look and/or clothing.

Plus there's all those years I spent as the daughter of a Dallas beauty queen. It tends to give you a background. I don't WANT that background, but there it is. All this useless information on fashion, style and beauty that I couldn't care less about and have no use for.

Put me to work. Post the pics. I will give a detailed account of what I think of their clothing, makeup, hair.

I will not comment on their body shape and/or figure.

Edited to add during the primary debates, I posted critiques of the candidate's clothing and hair on Dean's blog. I can even tell if a suit is expensive or not. It was fun. I'm not mean about it, just truthful.

How can I dislike this outfit?
Complete sense of flair and confidence. He clearly wears what he wants to and good for him.

The hair is natural, fantastic.

2. But, but, but...
as the daughter of a Dallas beauty queen, are you going to favor the women with huge hair and Mary Kay makeup?

9. There's really not a lot to talk about.
He looks comfortable in his own skin. His clothes look comfortable. He looks happy. His hairline looks a bit strange, but that could just be a shadow or something.

14. Punk should tie his damn shoelaces!
Yeah, he'll look cool lying dead at the bottom of a ravine, body ravaged by wolves, after having had a catastrophic footwear failure!

Sheesh, kids these days!

I might be a bit biased here, something I am trying not to do.

See, I happened to catch just a few minutes of her on that show on VH1 a while back (what was that called?) and she was just precious.

Yes, I said that about her.

Anyway, the dog is adorable and very well-groomed.

Edited to add, I forgot to do her! LOL!

The outfit would be better if the jacket were black and the blouse were the salmon/fuschia color. In other words, reverse it.

The hair is a bit scary, to tell the truth. It's lopsided and frizzy. It needs some product to smooth it.

And obviously the makeup is way overdone. She would be very nice looking with it toned down and more natural.

But then I think the makeup is part of her persona now.

Edited again to add that in addition to some smoothing product, I'd also have her grow her hair out just a teeny bit. Make it look less harsh.

13. Well obviously it's a very old pic
so I'll have to critique it with the time period in mind.

Sexy. White works well on her. Her hair color needs a bit of help, just a bit of evening out. But her face is pretty natural.

12. Ah, good one.
She has the "older woman bangs." By that I mean hair on the forehead and temples grown out just long enough to hide crow's feet.

Her lips have far too much collagen.

But the dress is nice. Nice cut, nice shape and interesting pattern.

I wish this picture had her with the dress hanging down instead of her holding it up, but overall it is nice.

The only critique of the dress I can find (and it might be the picture) is the color. She looks a bit washed out.

17. Ok I'll try to stick to that picture
and not comment on others I've seen of this person.

Dammit. I just can't talk about this one without saying she seriously looks like a transvestite. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but if I were her "image consultant" I'd say first, cut the hair. It's not professional looking and it's too thin to wear that long.

Wow. There's just not much else I can say to help this person improve on their appearance. And what's inside is just so damn ugly...

but there's really not much to critique in that picture. He has a very nice smile.

23. I'll stick to the one on the left
though if I were Laura, I would be a bit disturbed that the similarities are a bit too close in those pics.

I can't honestly find a lot to critique in that particular picture, though I have seen her in some hideous get-ups before.

29. Really? I see a lot to critique. The blouse, for one
The collar is too low for her age - it reveals an unappealing expanse of speckled, aged skin. (I'm middle-aged so I get to say that). The shape of the collar is also not becoming to her - the collars are too large for her face. She needs a more petite look.

The color is not good either. She doesn't have the right coloring to wear melon. She's a summer - she needs to stick with cool tones. A paler pink with blue undertones would be much better.

That brings me to the hair. She's gone too yellow in the color. Again, she needs to stay with the ash-blonde highlights, not orangey highlights.

The lipstick is a little too dark but it's probably just the poor contrast with the melon blouse.

There. I didn't say a single thing about personality!

25. Well I'll have to admit to Extreme Bias on this picture
since this is the ONLY celebrity crush I have.

There is nothing wrong with Ewan, mind, body, or soul.

He is a god. He is the second most scrummy-licious man I have ever laid eyes on.

His wife is a very very very very very very very lucky woman.
