Dumb Beatles question
I 'spose I could Google this but you guys would tell me just as fast. Just noticed liner notes on "Let it Be" gives writing credit on a couple songs to a "Starkey".

I've always thought Ringo was probably a nickname / alias but was Starr not his real last name? Or did the Fab Four have a mystery writing accomplice?

6. My maternal great-grandmother's
maiden name was Starkey and her family was from Liverpool, England, so my family's always joked about being related to Ringo Starr in some way, especially since I've loved the Beatles since I was two years old (apparently, it was the only music that would calm me down or help me get to sleep, that's why my dad nicknamed me "Beatle" when I was little. He knows I'll kill him if he calls me that now, though, given that I just turned forty, lol!)
