God help us - "Witness" by Amber Frey #1 NYT

People, the end of civilization as we know it is near. There is something terribly wrong when a book like this debutes as #1 on the New York Times non-fiction Best Seller list. Tell me who would give a shit what she has to say. And by the way, it is really difficult to write a book. Does she come across as an author to anyone here? This kind of thing pisses me off.

EDIT: I remember reading something recently about the NYTimes best-seller list not being the end-all and be-all anyway.
Ironically it, too is politically influenced.
There is some back-room influence exerted as to what category the books are put in when they go on the list.
Unfortunately, I cannot recall the details but there was recent controversy about some left wing books not being put into the non-fiction category when they should have been. They were put into the How-to category. It became a best seller.(I think it was that book about 10 ways to help your country by the move-on folks). Meanwhile MAnn Coulter's book and O'Lielly's books were put into the Non-fiction category.

There was atime that the only place this stuff would be was in those papers you would see while waiting to pay for your groceries..now it is a NYTimes best seller!!? Just a comment on where the NYTimes best seller list has gone.
