1. We've got about 1/2 inch of snow here in Central Pa. Sigh. I"ve |
|
got to go to work at 8. But it could have been worse. Main roads will probably be fine by 8!

Sorry, you just popped up unexpedictedly since I haven't seen you in so long.
I've been real good. I work at GFS which process rebate forms for their clients such as Best Buy, Sony, HP, etc. My primary function, what I do, is type data from hand written rebate forms into a PC. For the time I was looking for a job I was looking a job that paid $1,000+ a month(Mine pays $1,088 in 22 days per 4 weeks), decent benefits(Mine has Health and Life Insurance Plan, FMLA(thanks Clinton), Holiday Pay, 40 hours of pay after 1,050 straight hours, 401(k), stock plans), and an ideal schedule - I don't like to work evenings or nights for some apparent reason(My shift is 7:30A-1:30P, Monday-Friday(2 Saturday's a month))
So as you can see I like the job, probaly my favorite thing is 1:30 rolls around and I'm done with work for the day. It's $8.25 an hour, after my 90 day "probation" period I get bumped to $9.00 p/h. So what've you been up too?

Congrats on the job, and I'm glad you enjoy doing it! How's the girlfriend doing?
Other than working two jobs, I haven't been up to too much. I go out occasionally but I've just been more laid back recently. :)

I completed the training, today is my first day actually out there keying forms. I'm more then confident I can handle it. It is really the best job I could find with a GED and no real work experience or skills. Relatively fast typing skills and some PC software knowledge was it.
The 2 job thing must be tough, a friend over there said he worked there from 6:30-12:30, got off for 3 hours. In that time he took a class at ASU, then goes to work as a supervisor for 12 hours at another job. Doesn't drink coffee, just comes in with a mountain dew. Good luck with it and hopefully you land a job that doesn't require having another.

I'm sure you'll do just fine.
:) My first job really doesn't require that I work another. I make $10.20 an hour, but with rent, car payment, insurance, and a cell phone bill, I'm trying to save up money to go to college in the fall. Plus, my second job is as a server and I looove people so it works out good.
And from an experienced MD freak, it's as good as coffee. :D

5. Gooood Morning from Arizona! |
|
Our temperature has been in the 60s/70s, sunny and beautiful. We got plenty of snow up in the mountains. The ski slopes will be packed.
It's early in AZ but I can't sleep. We're working on a house project and the mess drives me crazy.
Have a wonderful day.

15. Are you nutz! Snowboarding at my age... |
|
I can barely get my skis to work. I hate John Kerry, he can do all those fun sports and look good.
We are going skiing for the weekend and hell with my house project.
Wanna come with us?

7. Still haven't woken up |
|
Despite the fact that it's nearly half past 12 here, and I've been at work for over 3 hours.
It's not too cold, but there this horrible fine rain outside - through which I will have to walk to get some lunch soon.
Good morning to all American DUers.
Good afternoon to all British and European DUers.
