Who else here reads "Adbusters"?
The latest, #57, is a model of concision, clarity, pinpoint analysis, and optimism.

If you don't read it: why not? It's radical, but it's close to being a print version of DU.

3. Fantastic, isn't it?

I've been reading since about #25, and it is a consistent if occasionally wild-eyed guide through this changing world.

2. Excellent Magazine!
I have a couple copies, but for some reason don't read it regularly. Thanks for the heads up.

5. adbusters is...
... one of the few political/cultural magazines today that ever says anything interesting.

6. It's "The Economist" for radical progressives.
And it's the only magazine I don't recycle when the new issue comes out.

7. I haven't read it for a long time, but my distinct impression was
that it was put together by people who really hate advertising but really love making ads.

There are a lot of people like that in advertising, too.

8. That's fair comment, but the editorials and analysis are wonderful.
The faked or "jammed" ads make for amusing eye-candy, but the editorial sells the magazine.

9. My favorite magazine!
Their issue after 9/11 made me a subscriber. They brilliantly put more with pictures, images and a few words than any other magazine I know. With 9/11, they managed to capture how I felt about the events (I lived in NYC at the time).

I also flew out of LaGuardia with that 9/11 issue a couple months after 9/11 and I am convinced because of the half burnt american flag on the back cover that I got one of the most intense searches ever. They went through every mint in my altoid tin, asked me why there were advils in there. They went through every page of each book and magazine I had with me.
