Cat people - do your cats like to be combed? |
|
Monty loves it (and needs it constantly), but he hates having his tail brushed out. Simba also loves it, but it immediately devolves into a play session, with him biting and pawing at the comb. Fergus didn't like it much; I think as he aged and lost weight it felt uncomfortable to him, so I tried to be as gentle as possible. I love how they come running when they see me take the comb out of the drawer!

2. She loves and hates it simultaneously |

Rapturous purring and rubbing is followed within two or three minutes by frenzied brush-biting and kicking. However, I think she enjoys both bits of the experience. :hi:

Petting he tolerates, the brush... he flees! I guess he had too many bad experiences as a kitten with a flea comb. He was eaten up with sand fleas when I adopted him. Poor fing.

but she's the only one who gets brushed. She's a Himalayan long haired and if I don't brush her she gets mats.

5. Richard and Petey love it. |
|
Petey hears the drawer open and comes running. We can't keep anything else in that drawer anymore. No matter what season it is, We invariably pull enough fur off of Petey for seventeen squirrels to line their nests. And when we brush Richard, all the bones in his body liquefy. It's like brushing a fur-covered miniature water bed.

6. Rogue loves it. Blackie and Rascal don't. |
|
It's rare that I can get near the two that don't. Still trying to calm them a bit and it's been 1.5 years since we got them out of the barn at 4-5 weeks old.

he gets jealous when the other two get brushed. Puck is the only one who doesn't much care for it; but she never really sheds or gets tangles, so that's OK.
