I'm rich!
Check it out! I just got this email. All I have to do is provide my bank account information and I will get a cool 3.3 million dollars! I just knew my ship would come in one day!

It must be tough to be a Nigerian gas refinery construction contractor. I mean, you have to go to American and ask a pure stranger for a bank account to put the money in, and then give that stranger a large portion of the contract just for the privilege of using your local bank account to invest your money. Oh, well. Their misfortune is my good fortune!

I feel so good about this, that I will give the first 50 people who post here $10,000 each. Of course, I'll have to have your bank account info so I can wire you the money.....:D

(Do people really fall for these schemes?)

Dear Sir,

Do not be astonished by the contents of this mail. This appeal is more necessary when this type of letter is totally coming from a stranger.`

2. Be sure to tell him that bank accounts in excess of $100,000
are not insured past that amount by the FDIC here in the United States.

Man, he should know that, as an attorney. :P

4. Aw...cut him some slack!
Attorneys of Nigerian gas refinery construction contractors have a lot of things to think about.

Poor Festus is probably working 20 hour days just to be able to get his client's money in a safe American account.

15. Become a 419 Eater
So what is scambaiting? Well, put simply, you enter into a dialogue with scammers, simply to waste their precious time and resources. Whilst you are doing this, you will be helping to keep the scammer away from real potential victims.

It doesn't matter if you are new to this 'sport' or a hardened veteran; if you're wasting the time of a scammer, or frustrating them in any way, well that's good enough for us.

Although this site concentrates mainly on the "419" type scam, we are happy to deal with other types of scams if and when the opportunity arises. We also have a large team of experts dedicated to the 'removal' of fake scammer banks and sites.

Even if you are a 'newbie' much fun can be had. If you are new to this game and need to know what scambaiting is all about, please click on the 419 FAQ link at the top of the page. See also Baiting Tips for information on getting started on this great cyber-sport

We would encourage anyone to contribute to this site and the good cause of anti-scamming by joining in the fun on the FORUM where you can meet new friends and seek expert help, tips and advice. You found the hidden text!

Please feel free contact me if you have any suggestions for improving this site.

In the meantime, take a look around. I hope you enjoy your visit.
