4. We just did a makeover on DH
Took him to the Men's Wearhouse where he didn't have to know anything or make any decisions. They told him what to wear. Works out much better that way.

17. Seriously?
If you want the goth look, go ahead and dye your hair black. However, if you want to enhance your looks, don't deviate more than one shade (maybe two) from you natural hair color. Otherwise, your skin and eye color won't be compatible with you hair color.

As for style, a lot depends on age. Also have you thought about facial hair?

23. Grooming and styling are two different things
Edited on Mon Jan-17-05 02:03 PM by in search of sanity
Lazy facial hair is just poor grooming. The sloppy look is hardly becoming, certainly doesn't beckon to me.
Letting your facial hair grow to get a certain style is okay. However, once you reach the style you want, you must keep the facial hair groomed.

:7 you should consult a GOOD hair stylist. i can recommend one for you, but there should be some good places in your area...and i'm not talking supercuts or those types of places. they can do maintenance, but you should pop for a real haircut to start.

33. Is there a reason you want to spruce up your looks?
Some people like to do that when they just to feel good about themselves. My experience is that men tend to do that when they are ready to look for a relationship.

What's your story? It may affect the answers you get.

41. What to do with your hair
You have to remember that your hair has a certain texture (silky or coarse) and curliness (stick straight, wavy, curly) so you are limited in what you can do. You should consult with a stylist to find out what you can do with your hair and still have it easy to care for. Since you don't like to spend the time to shave in the morning before work, you may want to get a hair style that really does not need a lot of upkeep or time to blow into a certain style.

As for clothes, pick up a few magazines, go to a few hot night spots and maybe a few nice day events and see what the guys are wearing. Get some ideas from the people you see.

I'm definitely a wash & go kind of person, and fortunately my hair has never needed styling no matter how it was cut. Been trying to squeeze opinions from friends, too, since they are the ones who'll have to look at me :P
