Letter to the editor: "Hate radio Democrats control the airwaves." |
|
The original letter:
CNN supported Kerry along with every other station on television except Fox. Hate radio Democrats control the airwaves, as well. Speak Out would look a lot different if there was a Fairness Doctrine.
And my response:
I enjoy Speak Out for the ignorant rantings of delusional conservatives, such as the writer who claimed, “Hate radio Democrats control the airwaves.” Hello??? Talk radio is dominated by right-wing Bush-lovers like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Bill O’Reilly, Michael Savage, Oliver North, G. Gordon Liddy, and Howie Carr. As for the Fairness Doctrine, we had one until the F.C.C. abolished it in 1987. Who was president then? Why, that notorious left-wing Democrat, Ronald Reagan!

Are they delusional or they just like pissing off people by saying that black is white when it's clearly black! I knew someone who would argue something that wasn't true just to piss off other people

4. Lets use their stupidity against them |
|
Somebody put together a petition to get the fairness doctrine reinstated, and we will get democrats and republicans..like this one...to sign. It'll be a bi-partisan effort.
You seriously gotta wonder what these guys are thinking...the only place there is a liberal media is on the internet.

14. see, you're not counting right |
|
the following radio shows are also 'deftist' and 'liberal':
the news. any news that is not a right-wing talk show. NPR. ESPN (since it's ownedby ABC, of course) Financial radio (since they sometimes dare to question the ideology of the wingnuts) The traffic report (all those liberals complaining about the sprawl from the suburbs) The weather (science, nuff said) Latin, Rock, AAR, anything that isn't modern, flag waving country. Anything that Isn't Rush Limbaugh or Jerry Falweel.
See, if even the news, on for 5 minutes every hour, is liberal propoganda, then obviously the liberals outnumber the conservatives. You just aren't counting right.

I'm sick and tired of the continual dumbing down of America into a bunch of headbuttin' NASCAR watching large-belt-buckle sporting polyester wearing cheeto munching ignorant slime fuckers.

15. It's really very sad. |
|
I'm always happoy to offer tolerance for the spelling, because we all make mistakes while typing and it's just a discussion board, but there are indeed some who are consistently beyond mere typos. And many who use the wrong words, mangled unintelligable syntax, and otherwise show that they just didn't quite learn how to use the language.
I find it very sad.

Spelling errors don't bother me at all, spell check or not, if they're obviously typos. The spell check does take extra time, and 99.99% of posts are going to published or something.
A missing vowell, a "g" and "n" transposed at the end of a word or obviously finger mistakes. But, it does get my back up when "there", "their", and "they're" are wrong. And when people use "big" words in the wrong way. That's not a typo, that's ingnorance.
When that happens, you and i are probably equally irritated. The Professor

21. I often misspell while typing |
|
but there are some words like 'experience' that I always misspell no matter how many times I learn the right way to spell it. I have no idea why, but certain ordinary words (just a few of them) are a continual problem for me and have been for years.

13. Talk about truly Orwellian. |

I wonder, do they know they are telling bald-faced lies or have they really managed to work up the mental gymnastics to genuinely convince themselves of it?
I guess if you project your own worst traits onto your opponents and repeat them over and over ad nauseam, people really do start to believe it after a while just through pure repetition.
