Just wanted to say dammit. I can't sleep, was going to go to bed early for once and here I am, muttering dammit late into the night.
Just dammit.

I feel like that all the time these days, but I've got a lot to be swearing about. Just a bad case of insomnia?

But I can't go into it. Just dammit. And insomnia, too. I have had it for about three or four months now and it totally sucks. I don't wake up in the night, I have the kind where you can't GET to sleep.

17. Have you tried "simply sleep"? |
|
(the Tylenol product) cyclobezaprine helps me sometimes too, epecially when my mind just won't turn off.

7. Insomnia's a bitch, innit? |
|
Earlier this week I was awake 48 straight hours thanks to insomnia...tried to sleep, and...nothing. Try taking a Benadryl or two, if you have any...that might help.

Nothing. Hate it. I've had nights when I am still up at 5:30 am. I can't do that, have to go to work.

That's the worst thing about chronic insomnia...having to drag yourself through the day, feeling like a zombie...at one point my insomnia was so bad (averaging 3 hrs. sleep a night for months on end) that I'd black out from lack of sleep (black out as in alcoholic blackout without alcohol, not "pass out")...that happened once while I was driving, and I lost thirty miles somehow. Scared the hell out of me.

13. Yep, I've done that and I agree, that is VERY scary. |
|
To get home and think "What the hell? I don't even remember driving here!"
Eek. :scared:
But sitting here won't help, so I think I'm going to force myself off this thing and at least try to sleep.
Sigh. "Try" being the operative word. Thanks!

18. Try doing some stretches, and then try reading a book or something. |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 01:45 AM by Revolutionary_Acts04
I read once that stretching is good for women to do before bed, good for circulation and something about that helps you fall sleep faster and I think if you read something, it gives your mind a workout and then you don't have that "what if" shit going through your mind while you're trying to fall asleep.
I hope you can get to bed soon.

The only thing that works for my insomnia is Ambien. But tonight you're stuck with muttering, or warm milk and a boring book.
Good luck
