I went to the Sire Records Website looking for something else and a lovely, quirky song by a woman singing over a piano and some strings was playing. The singer wasn't identified, but there was a list of artists on the page, and Regina Spektor was among them. Following that link, I discovered that she's a NYC based "anti-folk" singer, described by one critic as a cross between Patti Smith and Joni Mitchell. I've been trying to find more of her songs to confirm that this was indeed her but have been unable to.
Is there anyone in the Lounge who has a Regina Spektor CD or who has seen her live, maybe? She seems like an interesting artist.

1. I'm guessing she must be as obscure as I thought she was. |

Noone has heard her or saw her open for the Strokes?
