*lol*

Say, does anyone else have a butt-draggin' cat? Both of mine do this periodically. I would really rather they didn't.

So what's the deal?

1. Scrooching!
Hey now and then (especially when they get old and fat) cats can't take care of business in the rear area. A moistened wash cloth with some mild soup (like Dove) does the trick.

Nasty and they hate it yes. But it's better than brown stains on the carpet.

3. My cat has dragged his butt prior to coming down
with FUS or now they call it FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease). Something to keep an eye on...

Excessive perianal area licking or visiting the box with no results is another clue.

4. My dog does that when he needs
*ahem* his anal glands squeezed and emptied by the vet.

I do not know more than this. I do not wish to know more.
