I just picked up the 30th anniversary reissue of Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon. It touts how it plays in surround 5.1.
I have a Cambridge Soundworks surround system, but a regular CD player. The disk says the Surround Sound Mix is not available using a standard CD player.
Does anyone own an SACD player? Can I really need an SACD player for this?

2. How about a DVD player with surround sound? |
|
I really don't know what I'm talking about here, but I know that my DVD player has surround sound and that it plays CDs. Seems like it might be a good alternative.

A 5.1 audio disk SHOULD play in a DVD player with SS 5.1.

6. Most mid-range and higher DVD players can handle SACD. |
|
Lower end ones usually can't.
