1. He's probably just showing off.
People do that if they don't have a long way to go. It gives them a chance to say "hey, you wimps aren't gonna wear PANTS, are you? Lookit me!"

I have to say, I don't know who this guy is but I already dislike him.

22. At LEAST his legs
It was about 10 degrees (F) here -- I had two pairs of pants, three shirts, and two pairs of shoes on.

7. I hope his bits and pieces don't freeze and fall off.
But maybe he doesn't care so much about that.

PS--Hi from NC too, CarolinaPeridot! :hi:
It *is* cold here! Last week it was in 70's. Argggh. Tonight it's going to be 15 deg. or something. Yikes!

11. I know last week it was bright sunny and warm and now
its freezing ... And they are calling for snow for the weekend . I am in Greensboro ... sigh I pray that Duke Power has the power backed up in case that happens . Because you know how it is when we get a NC snowstorm .

15. I'm in Durham and
I hope, if we do get anything, we get snow and not ice--the ice storm a couple of years ago left me without power for 4 or 5 days and I live close inside the city--not out in the county.

I'll keep my fingers crossed about Duke Power being ready, too!

18. A funny story...
10 or 12 yrs back, a really hard winter hit alaska. it got down to something like -60F...for days. people had to move their cars every 15 minutes to keep from getting flat spots on their tires. they had to leave their cars running. total nightmare.

then, the cold broke. it reached something around -20F.

The front page of the newspaper had a picture of a woman in a convertible driving with the top down and a bank's time/temp sign in the background. the temp said like -20F.

23. I saw a guy and his son (about 5 years old) with tshirts on in 40 degree
weather at a car auction. It was soooo cold that even my coat wasn't warm enough. I should have reported his ass, but hopefully someone else did.

24. My brother does that.
Where he works it's pretty warm so he just wears shorts all the time.

22F isn't that cold, so the guy might have just decided the trade off for a few minutes of mild discomfort was worth not having to deal with changing into long pants to go outside.

25. LOL..for some folks that is warm
I can wear a short sleeved shirt just fine in 31F degree weather with a windchill of 23F. But then again I had gotten accustomed to the cold weather. Now we're up in the 60s!!! WOW! LOL!

26. One kid I know can't sweat
because he lost his pores to severe excema. He will go out in freezing cold temps just to cool off.
Than he winds up getting sick and having to stay home from school.

27. Some people are craazzy...
Last weekend it was something like 2 here in the morning. I was in Ph66 getting coffee and this guy walked by me in shorts with no shoes on. I thought, he must work here or something and has taken his shoes off.

I go out to my car and as I'm getting in, the guy walks out the door and walks across the parking lot in HIS BARE FEET and gets in a car at the gas pump.

I'm thinkin', those must be some powerful drugs you're on buddy. :)
