I admit it: I like bologna!
Yes... I like Oscar Mayer Bologna - beef preferably, on white bread, with mayo, a slice of American cheese, and a dill pickle on the side. Serve with ice tea and lemon, no sugar.

Admit it! You like processed lunch meat too! :D

12. Oh dear god...
When I was pregnant with my oldest, the lady across the hall made that every morning...and the lady next door used enough cosmetics/lotions/hairspray/perfume etc to kill an elephant. Every morning was an obstacle course of foul odors to the front door. I can't even THINK about fried bologna to this day without nearly hurling... :puke:

Other than that, I'll take Genoa Salami on a ciabatta roll with provolone cheese, drizzled with olive oil, and a pepperoncini on the side. Served with a glass of Chianti.

you don't disappoint, never. :D My favorite food these days for some unknown reason is a basket of KFC chicken strips. I could eat them every day and have been on the jag for almost a year now. If I could occasionally have some Tikka Masala I would be set for life. You go for it. Ovaltine, bologna and Hydrox. Sounds like a comfort meal to me.

:P I like to start food cravings on DU... it's an old Lounge tradition!

When I was a kid, I would fold a slice in half, and take a bite out of the middle, so it would look like a bologna donut when unfolded.

Have you read "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair, about the meat processing/packing industry? Read about Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease?

Canadian Mad Cow FAQ website:
http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/cjd-mcj/vcjd-faq-03_e.html

CJD may be erronously diagnosed as Alzheimer's disease, so may be more prevalent than previously thought.

Better to make an educated decision if you crave beef by-product products. :9

36. yes yes
Read it, know it, etc... I am highly educated and informed. I like it anyway. My own rule of thumb is to not tell others in life what they should or should not eat, or make guesses about what they know or their educational level. I like to cut people slack about their freedom of choice.

No one gets out of this world alive. Might as well eat meat! :bounce:

not Oscar Mayer, Boarshead brand only and very, very thinly sliced. I get a taste for it about every six months, then it eat for several days. After that I am finished with it. I also like fried bologna with scrambled eggs and hot sauce but it must be Boarshead. Please, please hope Boarshead is not a puke Bologna. If it is I'll never eat it again. I also like pickle loaf and liverwurst, but only liverwurst from the sausage store.

I used to eat bologna sandwiches nearly every day for lunch into my twenties; Oscar Meyer or Hebrew National, whatever.

Then one day, mid-sandwich, I took a bite, took a look at the sandwich, and said to myself: Why am I eating dyed spiced fat on bread? I threw the rest of the sandwich in the garbage and haven't touched the stuff since.

It is gross if you think about it. I also eat it very rarely, so I am not too worried about health.

Just posting for fun... it is interesting to see what different people like, and maybe give me some ideas for new things.
