OMG!!! WHAT TIME DOES IT COME ON?!?!?! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT NETWORK IS IT ON?!?!?!?!?!?!

I ACTUALLY WANT TO WATCH THAT POS FULL-THROUGH ONCE! Perhaps tonight's the night - and it's a whole cadre of contestants tonight, right? Isn't this the first one of a new series?

I was just reading an article about it today, and how they have a new system for voting and bringing contestants up, and how they tried to avoid any WilliamHungEvents(tm) this time.

2. Our Fox AND ABC affiliate here is Sinclair owned...they have not
gotten one second of my watching time since September...and I Email them monthly to remind them of that...so no Idol for me.

I also remind them we are a Neilson household...hah hah

7. There's only one reality show that has caught my attention for longer
than one show: Project Runway. Mostly because I marvel at a creative process which I have absolutely no talent for.

Not that I have any talent for American Idol, either, but I've seen those kind of shows before.

14. Just the producer?
I've got the whole cadre under my, uh, "view" is perhaps the best word.

And just a gutting?

16. Well, I can voluntarily avoid the show, much like Bill O'Reilly doesn't
avoid things that piss him off, but having to endure the commercials for that festering stench of American pomp, frivolousness, apathy, lack of taste, and sub-cromagnon abilities makes me want to do bad things.

17. YES! remember Keith "Like a Virgin"?? Season 2??
that was the BEST for terrible auditioners. They had Dino "Greatest Love Of All" Yazzie, Monica Songok (the chick who sang a celine dion song who sounded like a goat). God...those were the days.

19. I've never seen a single episode of American Idol or Survivor
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 08:05 PM by Mojambo
And I watch A LOT of television.

In fact, I've decided that from now on whenever I'm forced to reference that show in any way I'm going to use the word fucking.

"Hey, did you see American "fucking" Idol last night?"
"No, was Ryan "fucking" Seacrest his normal annoying self?"
"Yeah, but Paula "fucking" Abdul was so nice to this one girl!"
"What about that Simon "fucking" Cowell? Did he have any witty remarks?"
"The "fucking" audience voted for THAT guy!"

Well, you get the idea...

22. Thank God, I'm almost in your boat
I had to accidental viewings of Survivor when I've stayed with my sister. I thought it more important to hang in the TV room with the family than make a stand for intelligence, so I watched the show with them. They were dreck.

American Idol, I caught one non-competition episode because of the same at-my-sister's condition. It was utter dreck. It was their last 10 or 12 contestants all doing shit together, and some solo crap, and it was all shit. They sang in tune, and in tempo, I'll give them that. but none were interesting, and none did any music that was close to challenging or of any merit.
