Why are TV wives so much hotter than their TV husbands?

Just take a look at According to Jim, King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc. Do they really expect us to believe that these woman would marry down so far?

I've seen some of these "Tv Wives" in a slip and ..Man...They look hot!

While he was single, he's not exactly an attractive guy (in my guy opinion)... yet, he was paired up with the likes of Teri Hatcher and other babes in various episodes.

The husband can not only be relatively unatractive, he can:

1. Be an idiot
2. Be insane
3. Blow the family money
4. Screw up all the time
5. Be unfaithful
6. Ignore or corrupt the children

BUT:

Always, always, the intelligent, successful and "hot" spouse forgives him.
