2. One year I used it
to store Halloween candy. Not exactly a recipe. Um, but my mom used to use the crock pot for kielbasa with little white potatoes and carrots--that's pretty good eating!

3. Okay, go get some ribs . . .
cut them so they'll fit in your crockpot. Slow cook them all day.

Take them out, dry them off, slather them with rib sauce (out of the jar is okay) and put them in a 350 degree oven until the sauce cooks to the meat, about 30 minutes (kind of go by what looks right depending on the sauce you choose).

5. French Dip Sandwiches
Cook a roast, a chopped onion and a can of beef broth on low all day, shred the meat and put on buns and serve with the broth on the side.

Rotisserie Style Chicken

Cover 3 potatoes with foil and set in bottom of Crockpot, rub a chicken with olive oil and sprinkle with season salt and set on top of potatoes and cook for 6-8 hours on low. The chicken will be falling apart tender and the potatoes are excellent.

16. We've done the same with a roast
but added a can of mushroom soup instead of the spice and broth. Makes great gravy and you can add carrots, onions and potatoes to the pot if you so desire. Can also substitute pork chops for roast.

7. Well, anything cooked in a crock-pot is stewed (IMO)
But, to your basic beef or lamb stew recipe, add a quarted turnip root and a couple of bay leaves.

12. Maybe not my favorite but the most frequently made.
London Broil

3-4 lb London broil
Chicken or beef broth
Guinness (or red wine)
An onion
1 tsp salt
Several sprigs fresh thyme

Place the meat in the bottom of the pot cover with mixture of broth and Guinness (or red wine) 50/50, just enough to cover. Add salt and thyme. Slice onions over the top and cook. I usually set it on high for 4 hours but it can be slow cooked also. The liquid makes a good dipping sauce.

17. buy two small pork tenderloins, and cut into 1 inch thick medallions
sprinkle with salt and pepper, and sear on high heat for 30 seconds or until golden brown on both sides.

get two jars of Vlasic Polish Sauerkraut (with caraway seeds) empty, 1/2 of one jar into bottom of crock pot. Place pork medallions on top, and cover with remaining sauerkraut. cook for 8-10 hours.

Make some really creamy whipped mashed taters. Place a mound of taters in a bowl, and spoon over pork and kraut...

enjoy.

Oh yeah...buy some extra toilet paper ;)
