I watch Idol for the William Hungs but inevitably I get sucked in by someone like Fantasia, who provides other reasons for watching.

I didn't watch the 1st season at all. Then the second season I watch the try outs, and thats it.

But for some reason last season just sucked me in! And when Fantasia sang Summertime I swear it gave me goose bumps, she has such an awesome and interesting voice.

But I was determined to actually watch that banal vapid insult to intelligence in its entirety so that my critique of it, accurate though it was even without having seen the show, could be legitimated.

bunch of loser fuckall no-talent useless shitmolngers who should just be put in jail, and not because they suck as artists, but because they obviously have nothing - nothing at all - to offer society.

When I am president, we will still have American Idol, and it'll go through the whole season, but secretly every "person" who auditions will be executed; and every "contestant" will be executed when they lose. The actual winner, since we can't easily just execute them, will always meet with some sort of incredible distastrous accidental death.

that we both posted on earlier and there is nothing at all about who you like or think is talented.

My question was not intended to be confrontational or to embarrass or trap you. As I stated, It would let us know what your standards are and by what high standards you judge the others. Fair question I think.

Also, I want to make it clear. I have nothing against you at all. I know that you are an artist. I think you are a talented artist. But I really love Picasso, Dali, Gauguin, and Warhol. Should I judge you by their standards? Because those artist might consider you a hack. I would defend you though. That is the only point that I'm attempting to make. You shouldn't belittle the talents of others because they don't meet your elitist standards. Because the same can be done to you. And that wouldn't be fair either.

And, if I'm looking to become a professional artist, then yes, I should be judged against and compared to other professional artists. So also these singers - they want to enter the world of professional singing - such as the record companies allow it to exist - and so they need to be judged from that perspective.

If this were a small town talent show, then the standards could be much lower. But these are people who want a national, professional singing career.
