Do you ever watch someone's posts just to see how long it takes

for them to get banned? Not the obvious ones who come in and disrupt every thread, but the ones who try to be more subtle and post more "moderate" statements that are critical of Dems and give repubs a break. I find myself doing this more and more lately (being jobless helps). I won't mention any names but I catch on to about two posters a week who I think will get axed, and I have pretty good track record lately.

Anyone else play this game?

I'm talking about the posters who use so called "moderation" as a way to sway things to a more repub friendly discussion. Some people think they're clever enough to do that.

Hell, I call myself a moderate, but according to the political map I'm a card carrying liberal socialist.

... pretty blatant. No fun there, as they were easy to spot and soon discarded. The "stealth" disruptors are much more entertaining.

Some people on any board will attack anyone who doesn't fall right in line with their every opinion. I'm not talking about that, here. I'm talking about a game I play in my boredom where I watch posters who are obviously disruptors but try to be "subtle" about it.

The poster I was watching today said he voted for Kerry, but he thought the bush twins were hot, loved one of the singers that will be performing at the inauguration, said that he went to vote with 23 other people from work and the exit pollsters picked out the only two Kerry supporters in the group, wanted to watch the balls because he loved fashion, and posted a Clinton joke. All of these posts happened today, his first day here. None of them were really disruptive, but he was always rather supportive of the bush clan. I didn't alert him as I didn't think it was a problem but it makes a fun game for me while I have so much free time.

It's a stupid game, but then I'm not that hard to entertain. :)

21. Well, some people here use the "Search By Author" function to look for

a pattern. Sometimes the overall collection of a poster's messages indicates not that s/he disagrees on a particular subject, but that his entire political philosophy is, uh, let's say, "on the other side". THESE posters tend to get banned, not the honest liberal who happens to be, let's say, pro-gun rights, or pro-death penalty.

And sice this is a private site, and is explicitly for democrats/liberals (it's in the rules), I can hardly fault them. It's like wanting to get into a Bach concert dressed as a Hell's Angel, and then fart and belch all the time. You'll get booted and the First Amendment won't protect you.
