2. I'll admit that I enjoy it sometimes. Cleverly crafted insults, I mean |
|
questions. Watching Blair squirming is always fun. I don't know what the term is for the "full session", but those can get rowdy as hell.

7. We'd hear more "he's bloody daft" no doubt. Bush** wouldn't |
|
be able to make it thru 2 minutes.

* would never be able to do that. One may not agree with Blair's politics but the man can think on his feet. I couldn't do it. It's a very exciting event. I like the passion and the rowdiness.

8. I've been watching since forever |
|
I've also attended some of the House of Commons debates on trips to london, including a big one about 13,14 years ago when John Major debated the highly entertaining John Smith (the Labor leader who died shortly thereafter) over the Maastricht EU treaty...packed house, lots of shouting and stuff. Great theater.

12. I want it to be like that here, |
|
with the leaders having to publicly defend their decisions and endure REAL, raucous debate!

13. I used to watch CQT until Blair became Bush's prison bitch... |
|
I was in London in 1992 and went into the gallery where they debate, but it was just a dozen backbenchers debating a barrage(?) bill that day...very boring...

Love watching those Brits cleverly clowning each other. I wonder what is in Blair's book.

I've been watching it every Sunday night way back since Majors' time. And I just loved Betty Boothroyd as the Speaker of the House of Commons.
