As stiff and righteous as he was, I have to go with Roger.

4. The Donderoo was a great qb with a weak supporting cast. |
|
Plus my Grandfather confirmed Don into the Methodist Church when Grandad was preacher in Mt. Vernon, Texas. My mom and aunt played with Don when they were very small kids.
Man, I miss the days when the Cowboys actually WON consistently.
If we could only fire the FREAKING OWNER and get someone whose ego would allow actual football people to run the show, maybe we could get to the big dance once again.

5. Was Dandy Don shitfaced during the confirmation? |
|
He and Howard Cosell were notorious for going out for a few drinks before doing MNF.

11. At 8 years of age, he probably had not started drinking abusively yet. |
|

anchor that crew. Michaels is a nazi and Madden is like the big dumb St.Bernard that drinks from the toilet and is embarrasingly amusing.

but do you really think Jones is still calling the shots? I don't think he likes the geriatric version of the 'boys. I think he's backing down to the coach, the bad thing is he's decided to back off while we have an insane coach.
Fuckin Vinnie...

Maybe then we could get started building a team, instead of just squeezing the last few mediocre years from a bunch of aging players.

Okay, that's obscure, and he wasn't great, but he used to play against my brother's high school in Mississippi all the time, so I always thought he'd make it in the pros. He was the first Brett Favre, in a way. He grew up on the Mississippi coast, excelled at USM, then was slow to catch on in the pros. The difference was, he never did catch on, while Favre did okay.
My real choice is Aikman, though I was tempted to pick Danny White, who is so underappreciated. Great QB at a time when the team, like now, was in decline. I just wanted to see if anyone even remembered Collier.

Good runner. At the time they had a few good running backs and I believe one of them was Hershall Walker. I thought they should have gone to the wishbone.

That was near the end of the Landry era. They were really bad.

who you could never understand why he wasn't great. He used to scramble for forty yard TD runs, complete the most impressive improvised passes, and then just totally collapse when you needed him most.
He did well in Europe, though, didn't he?
