one inch of snow and Richmond VA is paralyzed!!!!
Jeebus, took me an hour to go 12 miles. Cars were sliding and crashing into each other. I just felt sorry for people with rear wheel drives.

Sheeple it is not hard to drive in one inch of snow!!

CB

I even stopped and picked up a sixer

in preparation for the big snow. But, I went to Winn Dixie because everything, yes, everything except beer is 25% off. Wine, too? Yes, wine, too.

5. It is hard if the snow turns into ice just after hitting the road
.
Here in NC it is in the mid 20's and has been for several days (getting in the mid teens at night).

We had an inch of snow today and it almost instantly turned to a black-ice mess on the road.

No one can drive on ice well.

I have to make the trip home thirty miles south of D.C. tonight. I'm not looking forward to it.

8. No kidding, it took me half an hour to get across town.
Six inches of ice on the road is one thing. This is just ridiculous.

12. You should have seen Hull Street at 12:30.
Two jackknifed tractor trailer trucks. It was awful. I grew up in CT, so I can drive pretty well in the snow, but some of these people, it is unbelievable. One guy in a Jaguar simply stopped in his lane and put on his blinkers, at the base of a hill. It was unreal.

10. One inch of snow? Is that all? Geez Louise people, get a grip
I'm sorry, I live in the Midwest, where we get upwards of two feet at a time, and one inch or snow, whether it turns to ice or not, is nothing!

I live in a college town, and it is always amusing to watch the kids from warmer climes trying to cope with snow. Much money is made by the locals selling the proper cold weather gear, towing cars, etc.

One inch, hell that's barely enough to get one's toes cold.

18. I was at V.C.U when it started to snow....
My 4 o'clock class was canceled so I got to go home early....

except I live in Petersberg which means yep 95 south..

Two and a Half Hours Later... I made it home.... 95 North looked real bad. As slow as I was moving... I don't think North was moving at all for a bit.

20. I don't get it. Headlines about the cold in the East Lows in the teens
an inch of snow....

I'm sorry but boo freaking hoo... That's not news, it's Wednesday. That's over 70 degrees warmer than it was in Northern Minnesota. An inch of snow isn't worth shoveling. Replace your tires before they are slicks, slow down and it's no big deal.

Put it this way, if you have the steering wheel in a death grip, get off the road and let the people who can handle driving in bad weather get home. Once the roads are clear, all the bad drivers can menace each other.

Like I said, sorry if you resemble this, but if the shoe fits....

22. Trust me...
Here in VA.. it can get ridicilous with the threat of snow...

In my hometown in VA.. inch of snow..... guarantees at least a two hour delay.. if not a whole day off... and regardless the next day is usually a half day "just in case". Of course.... I still remember the time we got off because of "threat of inclement weather" that never came.

At lesat in my hometown in VA... people don't like even the little hint of snow.
