a really great replacement for the beat bush mobile

just popped up today. i had to have her towed over to the mechanic, and poked a little to make it to some local festivities tomorrow. then she will be officially retired.
i had been hoping that she would make it till the end of june, when i will be in a position to replace her. we have another vehicle, and could limp along with one. so, i wasn't even looking.
but a very dear friend had the good luck of getting a hand me down car, saving him from putting the couple hundred bucks needed into a car like this-

it was also a hand me down, from his nitpicky brother. hi miles, but perfect care. needs a little work now, but otherwise great, with not a spot of rust. $800.
i love it when a solution pops up before you even start to deal with a problem. and they are very happy that it is staying in the family. yeah.
